Clinical Study Details
In a study of 10 men aged 40+ (Caucasian, Black, Latino, and Asian), 100% showed visible signs of reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles at 7 days, and 100% showed an improved appearance of elasticity and radiance at 10 days (Winter 2024).  Significant anti-aging benefits were perceived within a month.  Some of these men had used premium products for years.  For some men, their partners said they looked 10 years younger after 10 days.   See the results for yourself, manlabs.com.

Chrysin, palmitoyl tripeptides 1 and 7.  In a study with 22 volunteers the application of a gel containing 2% of the product for 56 days resulted in a reduced appearance of dark circles in more than 70% as assessed by image analysis and computerized measurement of color parameters. 

Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 lead to a significant 25% reduction in the size of facial wrinkles compared to untreated skin. “Evaluation of the penetration and efficacy of topical anti-aging compounds,” Monash University, 2010.  In another clinical study, it led to a 10% improvement in skin roughness at 12 weeks. Palmitoyl peptide-5′ (palmitoyl dipeptide-5 diaminobutyroyl hydroxythreonine) lead to improvements from baseline in the appearance of facial skin texture in 79% of subjects when combined with a hyaluronic acid serum.  J. Cosmet. Dermatol. 2022;21 (8):3458-3463.

Palmitoyl peptide 5” (Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 Diaminohydroxybutyrate) in combination with palmitoyl peptide 5′ has shown significant skin improvement in clinical studies in vitro and in vivo.

Diaminopropionoyl tripeptide-33 was found clinically to improve the appearance of signs of premature skin aging.

Palmitoyl tripeptide‐38 showed significant improvements of radiance, complexion, and wrinkles after 56 days.  Skin‐roughness parameters decreased significantly by 8‐9%, and subjects experienced a significant increase in skin isotropy. Photographic analysis revealed significant improvements in skin tone, with a 9% decrease in redness and 8% increase in homogeneity (P < .0001 for both).  J. Cosmet. Dermatol. 2020;19(12):3262–3269.

Soy peptides.  A pseudo-randomized study with soybean peptide showed the anti-aging potential of a soy peptide.  BMB Rep. 2011, 44, 787–792.

Rice peptides.  Formulations containing niosomes entrapped with rice bran bioactive compounds show clinical anti-aging properties.  These formulations demonstrated higher hydration enhancement (+12%) and improvement of skin lightening (-40%), thickness (+12%), roughness (4x smoother), and elasticity (2.5x) on the skin of 30 human volunteers within the 28–day treatment. Hyaluronic Acid in the range of 3 kDa to 2,300 kDa optimized for anti-aging, hydration, and reduction of water loss.  The range of 8 kDa – 500 kDa is boosted, which optimizes for anti-aging effects.  “All HA-based creams utilized in this study demonstrated a significant improvement in skin hydration and overall elasticity values (R2) when compared to placebo. Measurements of wrinkle depth using mean roughness (Ra) and maximum roughness (Rz) values revealed significant improvement in the 130 and the 50 kDa HA group after 60 days of treatment compared to placebo-treated area.”  J Drugs Dermatol. 2011;10(9):990-1000.

Niacinamide has shown a variety of significant skin appearance improvement effects for topical niacinamide: reductions in fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmented spots, red blotchiness, and skin sallowness (yellowing). In addition, elasticity (as measured via cutometry) has improved.  Dermatologic Surgery 31(s1):p 860-866, July 2005. 

Ceramide NP, ceramide AP, ceramide EOP, phytosphingosine, and cholesterol are natural components of the skin.   Studies have shown that the aged stratum corneum displays a >30% reduction in total lipid content in comparison to young stratum corneum.  Aging-associated reductions in stratum corneum hydration can be attributed, in large part, to a reduced content of natural moisturizers in the epidermis.  Topical administration of ceramides can increase stratum corneum hydration.  Aging (Albany NY). 2020 Mar 31; 12(6): 5551–5565.

Panthenol.  Clinical results have shown that d-panthenol has a significant effect on increasing skin moisture and improving skin evenness.  Internat. J. PharmTech Res. 2016,9(7),pp 99-104.

Betaine.  Betaine solution increased the hydration value and reduced visible wrinkle depth of the skin.  ISPE srl, Study report 15/00/00 (2000)

3-Glyceryl ascorbate.  Has enhanced moisturizing and antioxidant properties when compared with l-ascorbic acid. Clinical trials have confirmed the anti-aging properties of 3% ascorbic acid used for 4 months.  BMC Dermatol. 2004, 4, 13.

Tocopherol.  Studi es have shown that combination of Vitamin C and E can improve most signs of aging skin, namely visible skin darkening, elasticity, radiance, smoothness, scaliness, and wrinkle. J Cosmet Dermatol. Mar; 19(3): 671–676.

Glycerin.  Many studies have shown glycerin will plump the look of skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
